Question:
Why do our gel cells have such a long cycle life compared to others?

Answer:
Sonnenschein has over 35 years of field experience with gel cell batteries. They have learned over the years how to make an ultra-premium battery that delivers superior performance and longest cycle life. Dynacell's process is a mirror image of Sonnenschein's with some computerized process improvements, that make our product even better.

Some of the major features that contribute to long cycle life are:

    a. Patented calcium/copper grid alloy. Calcium alloys deliver superior performance due to the purity of the lead. Copper is added as a "grain refiner." This means that the microscopic grains in our lead grids are tiny and odd-shaped, which retards corrosion and extends the life of our grid.

    b. We use thicker grids. Thicker grids have more corrosion resistance than thinner grids.

    c. Our gel cells are protected against "deep discharge" because they are acid limited. This means that the battery uses up the power in the acid before it uses up the power in the plates. Therefore, the plates are never subjected to the destructive super-deep discharges that destroy plates.

    d. With proper, temperature-sensing, voltage-regulated charging (between 13.8-14.1 volts) the gel cell never runs out of water.

    e. Our ultra-premium, glass mat, dual insulating separators will not break down in service. The glass mat embeds itself into the plate, which retards "life shortening" shedding and extends life.

    f. Our polyester element wrap retards "mossing" or active material growth that causes short circuits.

    g. Over 250 Q.C. checks to assure superior performance and long life.
